The Human Resources Department
is responsible for personnel and employment relations policies and programs
for county employees. The department is responsible for the following
activities: recruitment based on merit, testing administration, civil
service administration, job evaluation, wages, labor-management relations,
Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity, training and staff
development, separations and terminations, performance assessment, and
information management. The department represents the County
administrative/executive branch in its role as an employer under state
employment relations statutes.
